Jonathan P. Meier

Jonathan P. Meier (J.D. New York University) emphasizes appellate advocacy, class action litigation, and business litigation. He received his law degree from New York University in 1990, where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University in 1981. In 1990‑91, he served as Law Clerk to the Hon. Eugene Wright, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Mr. Meier has represented individuals, large corporations, governmental entities, and non-profit organizations on appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Washington State Supreme Court, and Washington Court of Appeals. He has spoken at seminars on state and federal appellate practice. Mr. Meier’s practice has also emphasized business class action litigation, especially litigation against health insurers involving ERISA issues.

Mr. Meier is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and is admitted to practice before all Washington state courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Meier is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington.
